Led pannel pmod

Dear,

I have a question regarding the led panel driver , Is this driver hub75E compatibel?

As far as I can tell it is , just cutting the solder bridge J3 and solder it in the X0 position, is that correct?

Kind regards,

Ben

The led panel driver is compatible with hub75e by default. The jumpers are only there to switch the PMOD from using 3.3V signalling to 5v signalling that is sometimes needed for certain LED panels.

Not all LED panels need the 5V, depending on the chipset found on the panel.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Piotr

Thanks for the explanation, But I think you misunderstood my question,

I’m speaking about the colored in part on the picture below. As far as I can tell pin 4 on a hub75E is an io line and on a hub75 this is just ground. So I would asume that the collored in jumper can switch between a hub75E and hub75 pinout ?

Kind regards,

Ben

NVM , You are correct sorry for the confusion !

Yeah, J3 and J7 are only there to connect some extra signals to the connector to not be wasteful. The actual LED panels would not really know what to do with that. The hub75E pinout is as follows:

And it matches the pinout on the PMOD without any jumper changes. This is why the signals are named X for eXtra.

In any case, it seems you have figured it out, but I wanted to reiterate things just in case someone else has the same issue.

Cheers,
Piotr
